Stéphane Tellier, Dan Livingstone et Alexandre ÉthierFondé en 2009, le trio Guitares Nomades, est formé de trois grands amis et complices. Conjuguant les styles musicaux, de la guitare manouche au « finger style guitar » en passant par la guitare classique espagnole, ce trio de virtuoses hors du commun crée un nouveau genre en unifiant leurs genres respectifs. Stéphane Tellier, guitariste manouche, est connu pour avoir interprété la guitare solo dans la bande sonore des Triplettes de Belleville ainsi que pour son travail avec de multiples musiciens québécois et canadiens. Son album solo s’est retrouvé en première place au palmarès des ventes dans la catégorie « Musique du monde » chez Archambault. Dan Livingstone est reconnu partout sur les scènes canadiennes et américaines par son style distinctif et ses connaissances approfondies du ragtime. Avec plus de 1000 concerts à son actif, Dan Livingstone est sans contredit l’un des plus grands guitaristes « finger style » canadiens. Alexandre Éthier, fondateur et directeur artistique de l’Ensemble Forestare, ayant remporté un Félix en 2007 dans la catégorie « Musique instrumentale » est sans contredit l’un des guitaristes classiques les plus présents sur la scène canadienne. Multipliant les projets en solo et en petits ensembles, Alexandre Éthier a notamment été invité comme soliste avec le Quatuor Alcan, et multiplie les collaborations avec des musiciens de renoms de la scène québécoise, tels Richard Desjardins et Gilles Vignault, Alexandre Da Costa et Wonny Song avec qui il forme un trio depuis 2008. Il est également directeur de la Faculté de guitares du Lambda School of Fine Arts. Avec trois musiciens aussi exceptionnels, le trio Guitares nomades a su séduire son auditoire dès les premiers spectacles. En 2010, il s’est produit dans plusieurs festivals, bars et salles de spectacles à travers le Québec. Ses salles sont toujours combles, et chaque fois, le public en redemande. Manouche guitarist Stéphane Tellier is recognized for the fast-paced and lyrical solo guitar on the score to the film "The Triplets of Belleville," as well as for his collaborative work with a number of musicians from Quebec and Canada, including Ben Charest and Angelo Finaldi. His solo album was top ranked on the sales charts in the World Music category at Archambault. Dan Livingstone is recognized on stages throughout Canada and Europe for his expressive blues and vocal stylings, as well as his in-depth knowledge of ragtime and Depression-era music. With over 1,000 concerts under his belt -- including festivals and clubs as far away as China -- Dan Livingstone is without a doubt one of Canada’s finest fingerstyle guitarists. Alexandre Éthier, founder and Artistic Director of the Forestare ensemble—which won a Félix Award in the Instrumental Music category in 2007—, is one of the busiest classical guitarists on the Canadian scene. Working on solo projects and with small ensembles, Alexandre Éthier has notably been invited to appear as a guest soloist with the Alcan Quartet, and collaborates with renowned musicians on the Quebec music scene, including Richard Desjardins and Gilles Vignault, as well as Alexandre Da Costa and Wonny Song, with whom he has performed as a trio since 2008. He is also the Director of the Guitar Faculty at the Lambda School of Fine Arts. With three musicians of this exceptional calibre, the Guitar Nomads trio has captivated its audiences from the very beginning. In 2010, it appeared at several festivals, bars, and performance halls across Québec. Shows are always a sell-out, and the audience always asks for more. The trio recorded its first CD in 2011. |
