“Dan Livingstone is by far the most dedicated and true to form acoustic blues players I’ve met in years. His fingerpicking really shines on tunes by reverend Gary Davis, Mance Lipscomb and the like, and his live shows with local jazz players bring some exciting new direction to these older musical forms.”
Ken Hamm
“Finger style country blues picking is safe in Dan’s hands. … He’s a real fine player and he plays that stuff really well. Dan selects his music with taste and he plays with taste. I’m a real big fan of Dan’s.”
Big Dave McLean
“We’d love to have Dan back… he fills the hall.”
C. Switzer, Artistic Director, Gabriola Folk Coffeehouse
“An exciting young guitar player … a talent to be noticed.”
Rick Dennis, Cosmic Debris, July 1999
“A real blues musician. He’s the real deal.”
Erick Thompson, Cosmic Debris, June 1998
